Five cruise ships to visit the Mother City

Cape Town’s new cruise terminal is stunning and welcoming tourists from all over the world. Cruise ship season is back and locals can look forward to seeing a number of beautiful ships sail into Cape Town from early October to late November.

So keep your eyes peeled and prepare to welcome the following vessels to our harbour.

Among others a Captonian favourite, The Queen Elizabeth, will finally visit the Mother City again on November 19, 2019, arriving at roughly 6.30am from Walvis Bay.

Renowned world wide, the Queen Elizabeth has always been an iconic attraction. The newly built addition to the fleet was constructed in 2010 with similar features to its predecessors. A modern feature of this cruise liner is a state of the art Computer Centre. The luxury ship can hold 2 000 passengers and just over a 1 000 crew members. She is made up of 12 decks and has an average speed of 24 knots. The Queen will sail away again on November 20, 2019 at 11pm bound for Port Elizabeth. [Read more]
