Cape Winelands Private Charter

When grapes were pressed for the first time in the 17th century, no one could guess what a success viticulture would take at the Cape. Meanwhile, the wines of the Cape are world famous.

The largest wine-growing region lies northeast of Cape Town and encloses the villages Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.

The vineyards nestle here along the hills and valleys of the mountain ranges.

Many wineries have excellent restaurants that invite to enjoy food in a beautiful setting.

In addition to grapes, the region is known for olive growing.

A chartered excursion to the Cape Winelands offers various possibilities:

  • Wine tasting
  • Beer tasting
  • Brandy tasting
  • Olive and olive oil tasting
  • Stellenbosch (historic town)
  • Franschhoek (Huguenot monument)
  • Paarl (Taal monument)

You include the attractions you want to see on this route. Not all of the above attractions can be visited in a single journey.

West Coast Private Charter: Clicking sounds and a lagoon

Leaving Cape Town northbound, one follows the West Coast Route. The landscape along the coast is dominated by the ocean and sand. The area is known for its harsh and dry climate.

Only between August and October the barren landscape changes. With winter rains the area turns into a sea of flowers, it is flower season.

The West Coast National Park has a unique birdlife of international importance and the warm water of the picturesque Langebaan Lagoon with the fascinating sandy beach invites for a bath.

“Eve’s Footprint” was discovered in Kraalbaai in 1995 – fossil footprints of a woman who left them in the sand. She was about 1.40 m tall and walked on the beach about 117,000 years ago.

The San were the aborigines on the soils of today’s South Africa.

A replica of a San village serves as a backdrop for the introduction into the everyday life of the tribe.

The wine estates of the Swartland invite for a visit and a wine tasting.

Main attractions of the route are:

  • West Cost National Park with a stay at the Langebaan lagoon
  • !Kwa tthu: The Way of the San – Spirit, hunting and gathering, a cultural and informative experience
  • Bloubergstrand with postcard views of the metropolis of Cape Town
  • Wine estates in the interior (optional)
